Should LGs wear non-medical/surgical masks as they work in a high temperature and high humidity environment – is this safe for the LG’s to have a mask covering their nose and mouth for extended periods of time in this type of environment?

I want to add to this discussion and also ponder a thought. If we considered guards to wear a mask while guarding, how unsafe would it be to do a rescue in a mask should there be a need for a rescue? I would guess that it would be more hazardous with a mask on to the rescuer. What are others thoughts?
My other question about this actually, was that we're wondering about the requirements for pocket masks to remain in packaging and dry all of the time and suggestions on how to maintain that where LG's are housing them in fanny packs on their person.
My thoughts exactly. And you're totally right - if we're physically distancing there's no need to wear masks. Thanks for that reminder Katrina :)
As long as we are observing physical distancing measures we shouldn't need to wear them on deck guarding. Definitely while doing first aid though.
Ya, I would think it will be too hot and humid to wear all the time.
